Design an Ornament

Design an ornament that represents your book.  Your ornament should be:

·        3- Dimensional

·        Colorful

·        Between 2-6 inches in diameter

·        Ready to hang on our tree

·        Accompanied by a typed one page detailed explanation of how the ornament relates to the book.

Most importantly your ornament should represent your book and show creativity!

Here is how you will be graded:

	15 points	18 points	20 points
Representative of your book	Ornament is minimally related to your book.	Most, but not all, parts of your ornament relate to your book.	Ornament clearly represents some aspect of your book. Ornament exhibits outstanding creativity.
Creativity	Ornament does not exhibit creativity.	Ornament exhibits some creativity.	Ornament exhibits outstanding creativity.
Originality	Ornament is not the students own work or ideas.	Most of the ornament is students own work or ideas.	Ornament is the students own work and ideas.
Neatness	Ornament appears sloppy.	Ornament is neat with only a few sloppy areas.	Ornament appearance is neat.
Effort	Little time and effort demonstrated.	Some time and effort was spent on the ornament but not the student’s best work.	It is evident that a lot of time and effort was spent working on this ornament.
Followed Directions	Students followed 2 or less instructions.	Student followed 3 out of 4 instructions.	Ornament is 3-Dimentional, colorful, between 2-6 inches, and ready to hang.
